The APMT pop up book

Explorers02Spr 2kopieAPMT control roomBox

The APMT pop up book is specially designed for the official opening of the APM Terminals in Rotterdam on April 24th 2015.
APMT is the most advanced container terminal in the world, with fully robotized and computer-controlled cranes and transportation vehicles (AGV's) and zero CO2 Impact.
The book contains 5 spreads, showing the main activities of this state-of-the-art container terminal. All texts, in english and dutch. are printed on quarter of a circle shaped pull-tabs hidden between the pages.
This book had an edition of 600 copies only(!) and probably is the most expensive giveaway pop up book ever. The 500 VIP guests, including the Dutch King Willem-Alexander all received 1 copy. The book measures 24 x 30 x 4 cm, is safely protected by a sturdy white box and is wrapped up in APMT wrapping foil.
The book has been produced and assembled in the Netherlands.

For Pearle Opticiens Belgium Kees Moerbeek designed the largest pop-up book ever made. It measured 4 m (13 ft 1 in) by 3 m (9 ft 10 in) when closed. The book, entitled "My Word", was completed on 6 September 2010 for a television commercial advertising for Pearle Opticiens (Belgium). When opened the book measured 4 m (13 ft 1 in) by 6m (19 ft 8 in) and the pop-up objects reached a height of 2.35 m (7 ft 9 in). The book was used as a prop in a television commercial organised by VVL BBDO advertising agency. The book had a cover and displayed four pop-up scenes and was made of wood, foamboard and giant-size prints.
